Basic information about the product
The farm equipment is designed in a modular way and each unit is a closed system. This allows the use of locally sourced water from underground reservoirs to be maximised, making production both more economical and sustainable. Closed systems with advanced filtration are also healthier for the fish and surrounding ecosystems and virtually eliminate the need for pesticides and antibiotics. Icelandic water is truly unique. They get it from underground wells of seawater that have been naturally filtered by layers of lava. This clean water is also heated by geothermal energy. All energy required for water pumping, power facilities and local operations is provided through the national grid from renewable hydro, geothermal and wind sources. The method mimics the natural life cycle of Atlantic salmon, which have spawned in pristine freshwater and made their way to the ocean. By being able to raise salmon in a constant environment with less stress, growth is even throughout the life cycle, giving the salmon a firm texture and great flavor.
Preservation method
Freezing is a gentle and safe way of preserving food when the correct technological procedure is followed. We use the IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) method, which shock freezes fresh fish meat. As a result, the nutritional values, texture and taste are fully preserved.

Recommendations for storage and preparation
Store at temperatures of -18 °C and below. Do not refreeze the product after thawing. It will last up to 3 days in the fridge at 0 to 2 °C, one week in the freezer at -6 °C, one month at -12 °C and at -18 °C see the best before date on the product packaging.
